Home Groups
Home groups meet for Bible Study and social time.
The ‘home group principles’ are based on Acts ch2 v42, v46:
“They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching, to fellowship, to breaking of bread and to prayer… They continued to meet together in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”.
- Teaching. In home groups everyone can teach and learn from each other. Everyone’s contribution is valuable.
- Fellowship. Home groups provide a time for being together, allowing friendships to grow and develop in a trusting environment.
- Breaking of Bread. Jesus often ate with his friends and strangers in their homes. We recognise the importance of eating and drinking together in our home groups.
- Prayer. Recognising the vital importance of prayer in the Christian life, home groups will pray together regularly.
