History

2012 marked the Church’s 185th anniversary. The Sunday school was set up by members of College Lane Baptist Church in a local house in 1827. Adults were included in 1837 and the first building erected in 1844. Leadership was provided by members of Northampton Baptist and Congregational churches who were resident in Duston.

It was in 1923 that the decision was made to formulate the church and following a vote Duston Congregational Free Church came into existence.
